Bernardo Silva has stated that anything can happen and pledged that Manchester City will strive to reverse their Champions League match against Real Madrid.
City suffered a 3-0 defeat to Real Madrid in the first leg last week, with Federico Valverde scoring a hat-trick that gave the Spanish team a decisive lead.
Historically, only four teams have overturned a three-goal deficit in a Champions League second leg, but Bernardo affirmed that City will not easily end their European journey.
“This sport shows us that many things are possible. Even though the result in Madrid was tough, we will fight until the end,” he said at a pre-match press conference.
“The opponent is strong. At home, much can change. We’re going to try to create the right atmosphere for that to happen.
“It’s never simple, especially after just a week. After a big loss, it often feels quite dark, but then things can look up.
“Despite this week being challenging for us, we know our capabilities. The main issue has been our consistency. If we perform well tomorrow, we believe it’s possible.”
