Arne Slot expects Andy Robertson to stay at Liverpool beyond the January transfer window, despite interest from Spurs and Celtic.
Discussions between Liverpool and Tottenham regarding a £5 million deal have reportedly stalled, and Liverpool has chosen not to pursue the move.
Robertson’s contract is set to expire in the summer, allowing him the option to agree to a pre-contract with a foreign club and potentially leave for free at the season’s end.
Slot anticipates Robertson will remain at Liverpool amidst Spurs interest
Ahead of the UEFA Champions League match against Qarabag, Slot confirmed that the 31-year-old will be part of the matchday squad for the last league phase game.
“Robbo is in the team tomorrow evening,” the Dutch manager stated. “He has been an integral part of this squad for many years.
“I’m pleased to have him available, especially given our current situation. He will be part of the team, and nothing is changing in that regard.
“While it’s tough to make any definitive statements in today’s world, I expect him to stay.”
