Spurs have reportedly settled on a fee with Crystal Palace for Brennan Johnson’s transfer in January.
The winger has been mentioned in transfer talks after seeing limited playing time under new manager Thomas Frank.
Even though he was crucial for the team’s UEFA Europa League success last season, Johnson has started only six matches in the Premier League this year.
Palace is looking to strengthen their squad as they face a busy schedule, and Johnson has emerged as a potential addition.
Spurs ‘agree’ transfer fee with Crystal Palace for Johnson
As reported by The Athletic, Palace has “reached an agreement” for a transfer fee “around £35 million,” but the deal hinges on Johnson’s decision regarding his future.
However, the Eagles face competition to secure the 24-year-old, as other clubs have shown interest.
According to Sky Sports News, Bournemouth is also keen on signing Johnson, aiming to replace Antoine Semenyo, who is nearing a £65 million move to Manchester City.
Spurs acquired Johnson from Nottingham Forest for £47.5 million in 2023, outbidding Brentford. He has scored 27 goals and provided 14 assists in 107 appearances for Spurs, including the decisive goal in the Europa League final against Manchester United last season.
