Spurs have reached a “verbal agreement” with Igor Tudor to become the club’s next manager after the dismissal of Thomas Frank.
Frank was let go after a 2-1 loss to Newcastle United at home, marking their 11th defeat this season and leaving them just five points above the relegation zone.
Football reporter Matteo Moretto reported that Tottenham was “considering” Tudor for the job and confirmed that contract talks were taking place.
Spurs ‘agree’ deal to appoint Igor Tudor as head coach
The Athletic reports that Spurs have “verbally agreed” to appoint Tudor as interim head coach until the end of the season.
The former Croatia international will sign a short-term contract running until the summer, with no option for a permanent role.
Tudor made 174 appearances for Juventus as a player, winning Serie A twice and reaching the 2003 UEFA Champions League final.
The 47-year-old started his management career with Hajduk Split and has managed nine clubs in 13 years. His previous roles include Galatasaray, Udinese, Marseille, and Lazio, before taking over at Juventus last season.
He lasted seven months at Juventus before being sacked in October, when the team was eighth in Serie A following an eight-match winless streak.
