Details: Steven Gerrard, 45, is expected to be announced soon as the new head coach of Scottish club Rangers, according to Ben Jacobs.

Reports say that Gerrard had productive meetings in London with chairman Andrew Cavanagh and vice-chairman Paraag Marathe, leaving only the official contract signing to complete.

Gerrard previously managed Rangers from 2018 to 2021, overseeing 192 matches with a record of 124 wins, 41 draws, and 27 losses.

His latest position was with Saudi Arabian club Al-Ettifaq, where he managed from 2023 until January 2025.
