Strasbourg: Expected Lineups and Team Compositions Ahead of the Match

A thrilling matchup awaits at the conclusion of the 9th round of Ligue 1 as Olympique Lyonnais hosts the season’s surprise team, Strasbourg, at the Groupama Stadium. The teams are closely matched in the league, with just one point separating Strasbourg in fifth place and Lyon in sixth. Both teams also played in European competitions on Thursday evening.

This match offers Paulo Fonseca’s side a chance to bounce back after suffering two defeats in their last two Ligue 1 fixtures against Toulouse and Nice. Strasbourg, on the other hand, comes in on the heels of an exciting match at the Parc des Princes. Expect a remarkable display, as last season’s encounters were high-scoring affairs, with Lyon winning 4-3 in their first match and Strasbourg triumphing 4-2 in the second.

A Match Promising Excitement

For Lyon, Greif will guard the goal, with a defensive duo of Niakhaté and Mata patrolling the backline, assisted by Tagliafico and Maitland-Niles on the wings. The midfield consists of Morton, Tessmann, and Tolisso, with Fofana and Karabec positioned further up the flanks. Satriano will lead the Lyon attack this evening.

Strasbourg will rely on Penders to defend their goal, supported by Hogsberg, Omobamidele, and Doukouré at the back. In front of them, a four-player lineup includes Ouattara, Barco, El-Mourabet, and Doué. Moreira and Enciso will play slightly ahead, while the in-form Panichelli will spearhead the attack.
