Sunderland has set a £50 million asking price for goalkeeper Robin Roefs, attracting interest from Chelsea, Manchester City, and Liverpool.
Roefs joined Sunderland from NEC Nijmegen and has become one of the standout signings of the Premier League season.
The Dutch goalkeeper has played a vital role in Sunderland’s successful campaign following their promotion, earning praise from clubs throughout the league.
According to Football Insider, Sunderland expects significant bids, recognizing that Chelsea, Manchester City, and Liverpool are looking at Roefs. They anticipate offers around £50 million for the 23-year-old goalkeeper.
Chelsea aims to acquire a new goalkeeper due to uncertainties regarding Robert Sanchez’s future as their number one. Meanwhile, both Liverpool and Manchester City, having signed goalkeepers last summer, have been impressed with Roefs’ progress at The Stadium of Light.
This season marks just Roefs’ second as a first-choice goalkeeper, with Sunderland quickly securing him after notable performances in the Eredivisie last season.
