Malappuram FC is preparing for its first away match of the Super League Kerala season against Forca Kochi FC. This will be the fifth-round fixture in the league.
The game is set to kick off at 7:30 PM on November 4 at Kochi’s home ground, the Maharajas College Stadium. In their previous meetings last season, Malappuram won the inaugural match 2-0 at Kaloor Stadium. Another scheduled game at Payyanad was cancelled due to rain, resulting in both teams sharing one point each.
While Malappuram FC remains undefeated this season, they have drawn their last three matches after winning their opening game against Thrissur Magic. The team is currently in third place on the league table with six points. In contrast, Forca Kochi is at the bottom of the table, having lost all four of its matches so far. Despite some good performances, Kochi has not yet secured any points and will be aiming to register its first win of the season against Malappuram.
Coach Miguel Corral may make some key changes to the traveling squad for the match against Kochi. In a positive development for the team, captain Faslurahman has returned from injury and is back with the squad. Malappuram will be looking to break their streak of draws and get back to winning.
