After the Chelsea–Fulham derby in London, a worrying event took place. Police arrested a 16-year-old boy near Stamford Bridge on suspicion of carrying a weapon.
Authorities had received a tip that he was reportedly showing a pistol as he headed into a crowded area. Video footage showed officers restraining the teenager, pinning him to the ground, and removing a black balaclava from his face.
It was later determined that he was carrying a replica firearm. The teenager was taken into custody and remains under arrest. According to The Sun, he was reportedly on his way to a comic book festival.
Thankfully, no injuries occurred during the arrest, although shocked Chelsea supporters witnessed a tense situation near Fulham Broadway station.
Additionally, it’s important to mention that Enzo Fernández scored the decisive penalty in the match.
