The Russian Coach Envisions a Future with Kylian Mbappé and Lamine Yamal

Recently, Valery Karpin, the head coach of the Russian national team, made headlines for criticizing Matvey Safonov after a mistake in a friendly match against Peru. On Friday, Karpin shifted focus to another topic.

A journalist asked him which player from another nation he would recruit for his team. Karpin’s response was clear: “I would choose Kylian Mbappé and Lamine Yamal. We probably also need a forward. Let’s say Harry Kane.” This sentiment is likely shared by many national coaches, but for Karpin, it remains just a dream.
