Details: Barcelona‘s official page on social media platform X announced today that 34-year-old Thiago Alcántara has joined Hansi Flick’s coaching team.
He will oversee training sessions and manage tactical strategies for the team.
Thiago Alcántara grew up in Barcelona’s esteemed youth academy and joined the first team in 2011. He left for Bayern Munich in 2013 for €25 million. He later played for Liverpool until his contract ended last year, leading to his retirement from professional football. Alcántara also played 46 matches for the Spanish national team and scored two goals.
Reminder: Barcelona is set to return to Camp Nou for a match against Real Sociedad.
