Footem.in – Harry Kane’s future is causing a stir! Bayern Munich, Barcelona, and potentially even a surprise contender are in the mix for the star striker next summer. What seemed like a far-fetched rumor is now gaining traction, making Kane’s next move a hot topic.
The 32-year-old Kane joined Bayern in the summer of 2023, a move that immediately paid off with his first Bundesliga title.
Since his arrival, Kane has been phenomenal, scoring a sensational 107 goals in 111 appearances across all competitions, establishing himself as one of the world’s most prolific goalscorers.
However, with less than two years remaining on his contract and a reported release clause that can be triggered next summer, his future is up in the air.
According to Sport, Barcelona is again interested in Kane, similar to their acquisition of Robert Lewandowski from Bayern years ago.
A release clause of €65 million (approximately ₹5,784,001,750.00 INR or €60,437,000 EUR based on current exchange rates) is reportedly available for the Catalan club. Despite questions about Barcelona’s financial capacity to pay this, it’s claimed Kane is open to a move to Camp Nou if all parties can agree.
For Bayern, the situation is complicated. They don’t want to lose Kane for free in 2027, making a potential early sale a serious consideration.
His former club, Tottenham Hotspur, is also rumored to be a possible contender. Spurs are believed to be aware that Kane might want to pursue his ambition of becoming the Premier League‘s all-time top scorer, which could fuel a return to North London.
However, there’s a crucial condition: Kane must inform Bayern before January 31 if he wants to consider a move in 2026, allowing the German club time to find a replacement.
Despite the ongoing speculation, Kane remains focused on helping Bayern win more trophies.
The 2025-26 season is going well for him, with 22 goals in all competitions, and Bayern leads the Bundesliga by five points. Kane’s immediate ambition is to lift the Champions League trophy, especially ahead of the crucial game against defending champions Paris Saint-Germain at Parc des Princes on Tuesday evening (November 26, 2025, 01:30 AM IST).
