Spurs captain Cristian Romero described the loss to West Ham United on Saturday as “a disaster” for the club, putting Thomas Frank’s position in jeopardy.
Romero equalized after Crysencio Summerville’s early goal at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, but Callum Wilson scored a late winner, ending West Ham’s ten-game winless streak.
Frank is facing intense pressure, managing only three wins since December, and his team currently sits 14th in the league.
The Lilywhites have now gone four Premier League matches without a win, suffering three losses across all competitions.
Spurs’ defeat adds pressure on Thomas Frank
“We need to stick together, work hard, and return to training tomorrow. This is a disaster for us right now,” Romero stated after the match.
“Thanks to the fans for their support. We will train hard and focus on the upcoming match this week.
“It’s a tough time for us. Our performance has been inconsistent. We need to work harder and improve.
“It’s a challenging moment for us. We’re not performing our best on the field.”
