England’s head coach Thomas Tuchel has addressed the absence of his main striker ahead of the friendly match against Japan.
Details: In an interview with ITV, Tuchel confirmed that Harry Kane suffered an injury unexpectedly.
“It’s a minor injury that literally came out of nowhere. Yesterday, he had to leave training after just 15 minutes. There was never any chance he would play, not even today,” Tuchel said.
When asked about the severity of the injury affecting England’s top scorer, the coach expressed concern:
“The injury is serious enough that he can’t play tonight. We’re waiting for the results of further examination.”
England’s medical team is currently conducting tests to find out how long the captain will be out.
Additionally, Bayern will soon face Real Madrid in the Champions League, a significant challenge without their key player.
Reminder: Portuguese defender Raphael Guerreiro will be leaving Bayern.
