Three players have been selected for the Kannur Warriors senior team following a three-day football camp organised by the club. The new additions are Basith P.P., from Super League Kerala‘s Game Changer project, Muhammed Nasif K., from the Kannur District League, and Muhammed Sinan A.P., a player for Yenepoya University. All three are natives of Kannur.
The camp was held in the last week of August. Initially, ten players were chosen from the camp for senior team training, out of which five have now been officially added to the Kannur Warriors senior team. Two other players, Arshad and Arjun, had been selected earlier.
Basith P.P. plays as a centre-defender for Kannur United in the Kannur District League. He has previously participated in the Youth Development League and inter-collegiate tournaments. He is from Thottada in Kannur and is the son of Thafseera and Puthiyapurakkal Haris C, a player for the Kannur District Police team.
Muhammed Nasif K is a midfielder who has played for Brothers Club in the Kerala Premier League Second Division and the District Super Division. He is the son of Gafoor and Naseema from Ariyil, Taliparamba.
Muhammed Sinan A.P. plays for Yenepoya University, where he takes on the roles of both a winger and a striker. He was part of the university team that won the All India South East Championship for the 2023-24 season. Sinan was named the best player of the championship, having scored six goals. He has also played for Kannur United in the Kannur District League. He is the son of Salim and Shahanas from Kakad Athayakunnu.
