Thrissur Magic FC has completed the signing of experienced Brazilian defender Mailson Alves. He is a familiar face in Indian football from his time with Chennaiyin FC in the Indian Super League. He won two ISL titles with the club.
Alves was part of the championship-winning teams in 2015 and 2018. The player also had a stint for one season with NorthEast United. He was most recently playing in the Brazilian league. The only notable point of discussion around this signing is that Alves is 37 years old.
