Thrissur district has won the State Senior Women’s Football Championship, which took place at Manavedan Higher Secondary School in Nilambur. The Thrissur team secured the title by defeating Thiruvananthapuram district with a score of 3-0 in the final match.
In the match for third place, Ernakulam district beat Kannur district 4-2 in a penalty shootout. P. V. Abdul Wahab, MP, presented the trophies to the winners. Aleena Tony of Thrissur was named the best player of the championship. The closing ceremony was attended by several officials, including Nilambur Municipal Chairperson Mattummal Saleem, Kerala Football Association Executive Member Prof. P. Ashraf, Malappuram District Football Association Secretary Dr. P. M. Sudhir Kumar, PTA President Mujeeb Parappuram, DFA Vice Presidents Rayin P. K., Abdulsalam N., and Kamaluddeen M., along with EC members Rafeeq E., Dr. Abdulsalam Kanniyan, Mansoor Ali, and Firoz T. K.
