Toni Kroos hasn’t held back on sharing his thoughts since retiring from the game in 2024. Recently, he was asked about Arda Güler during an interview with Cadena SER. Kroos made it clear that he does not see the Turkish player as his successor at Real Madrid. “He is a different kind of player. His best position is much more offensive, so he is definitely not my successor. I’m glad he is getting much more playing time this year, as he has earned it on the field, and he is a player we can count on for the future.”
Kroos also expressed his admiration for the connection between Kylian Mbappé and Arda Güler. “He has an exceptional touch, which he has showcased brilliantly this season. I’m pleased, as he is a great guy and I’m fortunate to have played alongside him. I’m sure he will make history at Real Madrid for many years to come.” This sentiment is likely to resonate positively with Güler.
