Liverpool will host Brighton and Hove Albion at Anfield this Saturday for a Premier League match.
Paul Merson believes Arne Slot’s team will win this match, despite their recent form not being strong.
They remain unbeaten in their last four matches across all competitions, but Mohamed Salah did not play in any of those games.
However, Liverpool has won only two of their last ten Premier League matches, and their home record has also been underwhelming.
Toni Kroos on the Atmosphere at Anfield
Recently, Liverpool has secured just two victories in their last seven home games, which is significantly below the expectations of supporters.
Toni Kroos, familiar with the challenges of playing at Anfield, has commented on the distinct atmosphere during matches there.
The midfielder remarked: “When you play at Anfield or City, they press you from the very first second – it feels different. Games against Liverpool at home or City, even in finals, have a unique intensity.”
“I can’t explain it because they’re all top teams, but those teams play differently away from home with less intensity,” he added.
Kroos on Liverpool’s Champions League Chances
Earlier this season, Liverpool managed to defeat Real Madrid, where Toni Kroos previously played, in the Champions League.
Jamie Carragher pointed out that Arne Slot is determined to succeed in that competition this year.
Kroos initially listed Liverpool as contenders but later revised his opinion during the Einfach mal Luppen podcast in October.
“I named four teams I see as potential winners of the Champions League,” he said.
“I think you [his brother, Felix] left Paris out, right? I can’t really imagine that. If so, I’ll include them now and exclude Liverpool.”
