The first double gameweek of the Fantasy Premier League season is here, and we’ve highlighted some top Arsenal players to consider before the deadline.

The Gunners will play Brentford this Thursday and Wolves next Wednesday, with an FA Cup match against Wigan Athletic in between.

The Wolves game was rescheduled from GW31 because Arsenal is competing against Manchester City in the League Cup that weekend. City’s match against Crystal Palace will also move to a different week.

This analysis focuses on Arsenal players for DGW26, as Wolves aren’t performing well and lack strong transfer options. Mateus Mané (£4.6m) is the standout choice from Wolves but has a tough fixture ahead against both Nottingham Forest and Arsenal.

FPL Deadline: Tuesday, 10 February, 18:00 BST.

Fantasy Premier League: Five Arsenal players to consider in DGW26

Gabriel Magalhaes (£7.1m)

Gabriel is a top transfer choice if you don’t already have him. Over 42% of managers own him, and he’s considered one of the best options in the game.

The Brazilian centre-back is a significant threat from set pieces, contributing three goals and two assists. He has helped the team achieve 12 clean sheets this season, despite missing six games due to injury. Additionally, he has recorded 10 or more defensive contributions on six occasions, earning extra points.

Gabriel is a strong candidate for captain, though he might not be the best option for Triple Captain given his recent offensive stats.

Declan Rice (£7.5m)

Declan Rice is another viable captain choice, known for his consistent defensive contributions. He has reached the threshold for midfielders eight times this season.

Despite his set-piece capabilities, Arsenal’s improved attacking play has affected his output. His last notable contributions were in GW20, where he scored twice at Bournemouth. While he may not be the ideal Triple Captain option, he remains a solid midfield choice this week.

David Raya (£5.9m)

David Raya might not be the most exciting transfer, but he is set to start both matches and should manage at least one clean sheet. However, as he makes few saves, there may be limited bonus points.

Raya offers an advantage as he can easily be substituted during the blank GW31, allowing a backup goalkeeper to start.

Jurrien Timber (£6.4m)

If you already have Raya and Gabriel, Jurrien Timber is a good option for strengthening your Arsenal defense. He has secured the right-back position and is expected to start both games.

Like Raya, his potential for points isn’t very high. He hasn’t scored in his last six games and has only hit 10 defensive contributions in two matches this season. He’s a reasonable choice who could score up to 12 points in DGW26.

William Saliba (£6.1m)

Much of what applies to Timber also applies to William Saliba, who is slightly cheaper. If choosing between the two, Saliba may be the better pick, although Timber has a higher chance of scoring.

Riccardo Calafiori (£5.6m) is even less expensive, but he may be rotated out for Piero Hincapie (£5.1m) in one of the matches. Leandro Trossard (£6.8m) was a promising midfield choice but is a doubt for the Brentford game.
