Toronto FC has signed forward Daniel Salloi to a contract extension lasting until 2027, with an option for the following season, the club announced on Tuesday.

The 29-year-old Hungarian joined Toronto from Sporting Kansas City last month in a deal that could rise to $1 million in general allocation money.

Salloi has scored two goals in his first four matches with Toronto, netting in a 1-0 win against FC Cincinnati on March 8 and in a 1-1 draw with Red Bull New York on Saturday.

“We are pleased to announce Daniel’s extension. Before he joined us, we discussed his role and a new contract,” said Toronto’s general manager, Jason Hernandez.

“We believed Daniel should not come to TFC on a one-year deal; we agreed on extension terms before his arrival in February. This allows him to concentrate on integrating with the team and performing well at the start of the season. We look forward to working together this year and beyond.”

Salloi played ten years with Sporting Kansas City, scoring 67 goals and assisting 47 times in 287 matches from 2016 to 2025. He was an MLS All-Star in 2021 and contributed to SKC’s U.S. Open Cup victory in 2017.
