Toronto FC has re-signed midfielder Derrick Etienne Jr. for the 2026 season, announced on Wednesday.
The contract for the 29-year-old Haitian international includes options for the 2027-28 MLS seasons.
Etienne scored three goals and provided four assists in 48 MLS matches during the last two seasons with Toronto.
Throughout his career, he has tallied 20 goals and 21 assists in 219 matches (118 starts) with the New York Red Bulls (2016-19), FC Cincinnati (2019), Columbus Crew (2020-22), Atlanta United (2023-24), and Toronto.
Etienne played a key role in helping the New York Red Bulls win the Supporters’ Shield in 2018, as well as contributing to the Crew’s MLS Cup victory in 2020 and their Campeones Cup win in 2021.
