Tottenham Hotspur are set to pursue Manchester City forward Omar Marmoush.
The North London club had shown interest in signing Antoine Semenyo from Bournemouth during the January transfer window and submitted an offer to his representatives.
However, it appears that Semenyo may opt to join Manchester City, as multiple clubs are ready to activate his £65m release clause.
Spurs plan to take advantage of this situation by targeting Marmoush. The Egyptian international has only made two Premier League starts this season, and the arrival of Semenyo would increase competition for playing time.
Marmoush joined City from Eintracht Frankfurt for €70m last January, scoring seven goals in 14 league appearances during the 2024/25 season. However, the summer acquisition of Rayan Cherki has limited his opportunities.
As reported by TEAMtalk, Spurs are prepared to test City’s response with an offer. Any agreement, though, will have to wait until the Africa Cup of Nations ends, where the 26-year-old is currently playing for Egypt. He scored in Egypt’s opening win against Zimbabwe earlier this week. The final of the tournament is set for January 18, 2026.
Spurs also remain interested in City player Savinho, following discussions in the summer, although interest has lessened since the Brazilian signed a new contract at the Etihad in October.
