Tottenham Hotspur manager Thomas Frank is facing increased pressure.
This comes after only one win in the last seven matches across all competitions.
Additionally, Spurs have won just two Premier League home games this season.
Frank’s situation worsened with a last-minute 3-2 loss to AFC Bournemouth, during which he was seen holding an Arsenal cup.
This has sparked media speculation about Frank’s future, especially with his former club Brentford performing well and currently in fifth place.
He seems to be focused on improving the team’s performance in the January transfer window.
While the club sold last season’s Europa League final star Brennan Johnson to Crystal Palace for £35 million, another former Palace player is reportedly set to join Tottenham soon.
Journalist David Ornstein has stated that Tottenham is on the verge of signing midfielder Conor Gallagher from Atletico Madrid.
This news comes just hours after Aston Villa looked likely to sign him.
Gallagher, who moved to Atletico from Chelsea for £33 million two summers back, has struggled to secure a spot in Diego Simeone’s starting lineup.
With the England national team preparing for the FIFA World Cup in the US, Mexico, and Canada this summer, Gallagher will be aiming for regular playtime to enhance his chances of selection.
He has significant Premier League experience, with 136 appearances from his time at Chelsea, Crystal Palace, and West Bromwich Albion.
While Manchester United had shown strong interest in Gallagher for €40 million, Spurs seem to have outmaneuvered Aston Villa to secure his services.
