Tottenham Hotspur has set a price tag of over £57 million for Lucas Bergvall amid increasing interest from Premier League clubs.
Aston Villa and Chelsea both inquired about the midfielder’s status in January, but Spurs turned down all offers.
The 20-year-old has had a decreased role this season, with injuries affecting his playing time. He has made only 10 starts in the Premier League this season. Nonetheless, Spurs believe Bergvall has significant potential.
He joined Tottenham from Djurgårdens for £8.5 million in 2024, having reportedly beaten Barcelona to secure him when he was a teenager.
Spurs are aware of the rising interest in Bergvall, with Liverpool also keeping an eye on him. According to FotbollDirekt, Tottenham will only entertain offers exceeding £57 million for the midfielder.
Tottenham’s chances of keeping Bergvall could depend on their performance in the remaining matches. A loss to Arsenal on Sunday stretched their winless streak in the Premier League to nine games, leaving them just four points clear of the relegation zone. Spurs have not faced relegation from the top division in 49 years.
