Tottenham Targets Sevilla Forward Performing Well in La Liga
Tottenham Hotspur is actively looking to enhance their squad during the January transfer window.
The need for new players has increased due to the recent poor performance of the team. Issues in defense and midfield require attention, but there is also a demand for attackers who can add creativity and effectiveness in the final third.
This season, Tottenham’s forwards have not been performing well. Richarlison leads the team’s scoring with seven goals, often stepping up in the absence of Dominic Solanke. Solanke has struggled with ankle injuries, having only appeared twice as a substitute since undergoing minor surgery in October. Additionally, wingers like Wilson Odobert, Brennan Johnson, and Mathys Tel have not been reliable.
To boost their attacking options, Tottenham is interested in Ruben Vargas from Sevilla. Despite Sevilla’s mixed performance this season, the Swiss international has had a strong individual campaign so far, contributing three goals and four assists in 12 La Liga matches.
