“Everyone at Arsenal will be visiting Hong Kong in July. It will be great to be back with the first team squad after 13 years and give us the opportunity to meet our fantastic supporters in the region,” Garlick said in a statement.

“As well as training hard and competing, we can’t wait to connect with our Hong Kong supporters in this beautiful part of the world,” he added.

Meanwhile, Tottenham Hotspur executive Ryan Noyrs has also spoken about the clash. He also revealed that Spurs will hold an open training session.

“Playing Arsenal at the new and magnificent Kai Tak Stadium will be a fantastic experience for both teams and the fans who will be in attendance. Their presence will be an important part of our (Tottenham’s) pre-season preparations ahead of the new campaign,” said Ryan Norys.

“This match is a great opportunity for our fans across Asia and provides the team with the ideal preparation for the new season,” concluded Norys.

Another pre-season fixture to be played in Hong Kong is the Liverpool vs. AC Milan match at the same venue on 26 July.
