Tottenham Hotspur is back in Premier League action on Saturday evening, hosting Liverpool at home.
Spurs entered their last match with two wins but were defeated 3-0 by Nottingham Forest, marking their sixth loss of the season. Thomas Frank noted after the match that his team must learn from setbacks to succeed this season.

After the defeat to Forest, the team needs to recover for the match against Liverpool.
Liverpool, meanwhile, has struggled to defend their title. After a tough November, they have shown improvement, going unbeaten in their last four league matches and rising to seventh place, four points ahead of Spurs. They are coming off a 2-0 win over Brighton and Hove Albion.
In total, Tottenham and Liverpool have met 172 times across all competitions. Liverpool has won 84 matches, while Spurs have won 45, and there have been 43 draws. Tottenham has managed just one victory in their last five matches against Liverpool, who beat Spurs both home and away last season and eliminated them from the Carabao Cup semi-finals.
Tottenham is not expecting to recover any injured players for this match. They will be missing Pape Matar Sarr and Yves Bissouma, who are participating in the AFCON.
Liverpool, on the other hand, has lost Mohamed Salah to AFCON as well, following the Brighton match. Conor Bradley is back from suspension, and Dominik Szoboszlai, who suffered an ankle issue against Brighton, is hopeful to be fit for the game.
Tottenham’s loss to Forest was disappointing and hard for supporters to accept. After conceding the first goal, Spurs struggled to respond and didn’t threaten their opponents.
If Frank’s team can recover, devise a good strategy, and implement it effectively, they could challenge Liverpool, who have shown some defensive weaknesses. However, Liverpool has the attacking talent to pose a threat quickly. Overall, it seems likely that Liverpool will maintain their strong record against Tottenham this weekend.
