Palace cashes in for a solid sum.
Just hours before the transfer window closes, Liverpool finalizes another deal.
Details: The well-known “Here we go” from Fabrizio Romano on social media platform X confirms that the transfer of Crystal Palace’s 25-year-old central defender Marc Guehi is complete.
Reports suggest that the transfer fee will be over £35 million, and Palace will also receive a 10% sell-on clause. Fabrizio noted that Marc agreed to personal terms with Liverpool a month ago, and talks between the clubs have been ongoing since then.
Crystal Palace brought in the defender from Chelsea in the summer of 2021. Last season, he played 44 matches, scored three goals, provided two assists, and won his first trophy with the club—the FA Cup.
Reminder: Liverpool has made significant investments this summer in player transfers.
