This weekend could determine the first relegations in the Primera Nacional, reports Olé. Talleres de Remedios de Escalada and Defensores Unidos de Zárate, sitting at the bottom of Group B, need wins in Round 31 to stay in contention.

Talleres is currently last with 17 points, tallying four wins, five draws, and 21 losses, making them the team with the weakest offense in the league, scoring just 13 goals. Their only chance is to triumph over Colón, as a draw would confirm their relegation. Defensores Unidos has 19 points from three wins, ten draws, and 17 defeats; they must secure a victory against Estudiantes de Buenos Aires while depending on favorable outcomes from Colón and Almirante Brown.

The gap to safety is significant. Colón (28 points) and Almirante Brown (29) are just outside the relegation zone, leaving Talleres and CADU in urgent need of points. If both teams lose this weekend, relegation will become inevitable.

In Group A, the situation is more competitive. Alvarado (29) and Güemes (30) are in the relegation positions, while Arsenal (31) and Ferro (32) are slightly ahead. With the standings so tight, the fight for survival in this group is likely to extend to the final rounds, maintaining high tension until the end of the season.
