Yassir Zabiri was named man of the match in the win over South Korea. Following Morocco’s 2-1 victory in the last 16 of the U20 World Cup in Chile, he was thrilled to receive the award and expressed his thanks to the entire team.

“I thank my family and the Moroccan people for their support and prayers, which always motivate us. The entire team has helped me play well, and Inshallah, we will keep progressing. I hope to achieve even more,” the player from Marrakech said to FIFA+.

The centre-forward scored the first goal with an acrobatic kick that deflected off a Korean defender into the net in the 8th minute. With three goals in the tournament, Zabiri is currently third in the goalscoring rankings.
