Atlético Madrid lost 2–3 to Liverpool in their UEFA Champions League opener, and now they may face penalties from UEFA.

Details: Journalist Paul Joyce reports that UEFA is investigating one staff member from Atlético Madrid. This follows an altercation involving Diego Simeone and a Liverpool fan, during which the staff member was seen spitting towards the English supporters.

Earlier reports noted that after Liverpool scored their third goal in the 90+2 minute, Atlético head coach Diego Simeone nearly clashed with a fan of the English team.
