Valentin Rongier faced the fans of Rennes after their recent 2-1 defeat against Nice. Acknowledging the team’s struggling form, the former Nantes player addressed the Roazhon Celtic Kop to take responsibility for the disappointing results. His sincere approach won him applause from the supporters.
“We understand your frustration, and we share it. It hurts us too to finish matches without a win. We train hard every day, and I assure you, there are no cheats in our group. You speak of a reaction, but I disagree. If we were truly unwell in the second half, we wouldn’t have fought so hard to try to come back. We acknowledge it’s not enough because we are Stade Rennais,” Rongier stated. He also promised brighter days ahead: “I promise you that things will change and will start turning in our favor.”
