Real Madrid has strengthened its top position in La Liga after securing a 2-1 victory over rivals FC Barcelona in an El Clásico match at the Santiago Bernabéu. Goals from Kylian Mbappé and Jude Bellingham were key to the win.
The home team opened the scoring in the 22nd minute of the match through Kylian Mbappé, who finished a fine assist from Jude Bellingham. Barcelona responded well, levelling the score in the 38th minute when Fermín López scored from a pass provided by Marcus Rashford. However, Bellingham put Madrid back in front, scoring from a precise pass by Éder Militão.
Early in the second half, Madrid had an opportunity to increase their lead from a penalty, but Mbappé’s attempt was saved by Barcelona’s goalkeeper, Szczęsny. Despite this missed chance, Madrid continued to control the match.
This win allows Real Madrid to extend its lead in La Liga to five points. The team now has 27 points from 10 matches. Barcelona continues in second place with 22 points.
