Vinícius Júnior from Real Madrid celebrated the birthday of his former teammate Luka Modrić. The Brazilian forward posted a warm message on his Instagram.
Vinícius shared a picture with Modrić, both holding the Champions League trophy, and wrote: “Happy birthday, my brother!!! We miss you!!! Enjoy yourself ❤️.”
Modrić turned 40 on September 9. He recently left Real Madrid after a 13-year tenure and now plays for AC Milan under a one-year free agent contract.
Luka was transferred to Real Madrid from Tottenham in 2012 for €35 million. During his time in Spain, he made 597 appearances, scored 43 goals, and provided 95 assists.
In Madrid, Luka won the Champions League six times and La Liga four times. He is also the recipient of the 2018 Ballon d’Or.
