Inappropriate behavior from fans has been reported.
Wandile Duba, a young striker for the “Amakhosi,” spoke about the difficulties he faces as a well-known player since his debut.
Details: In an interview with FARPost, the 21-year-old forward for Kaizer Chiefs shared his experience with fan interactions, which have included insults and even threats:
“Criticism comes with the territory. If I perform well, people talk; if I don’t, they still comment. I focus on my game. However, threats like death threats do get to me, especially since I wasn’t in the right mindset during the last game against Golden Arrows and didn’t play. I feel the impact of such comments.
Generally, I don’t let it affect me too much, and I often talk to my brother for support. Sometimes, it’s tempting to respond to negative comments,” Duba stated.
Duba has become a significant part of the Chiefs’ attack this Betway Premier League season. The coaching team, led by Nasreddine Nabi, has shown strong belief in his abilities.
Last season, Duba played a vital role in helping the Chiefs break a ten-year trophy drought, winning the 2025 Nedbank Cup against rivals Orlando Pirates with a score of 2-1 in May. He made 25 appearances last season, scoring five goals and providing three assists.
Reminder: The Betway Championship match between TS Galaxy and Kaizer Chiefs has been postponed. What’s the reason?
