Watford aims for its fifth consecutive league win on Saturday as they host Millwall in the EFL Championship.
Since their last league loss on December 1st, Watford has climbed to sixth place in the Championship standings.
Their recent victories include two wins over Norwich City, along with wins against Stoke City and Leicester City, plus draws with Sheffield Wednesday and Wrexham.
The only downside for Watford lately was a 5-1 defeat to Bristol City in the FA Cup third round.
Watford went through November without a loss, with their last defeat before December 1st occurring against league leaders Coventry City on October 25th.
The Daily Mail reports that Watford is interested in signing Manchester United full-back Harry Amass.
Stoke City is also keen on acquiring Amass, who had a successful loan spell at Sheffield Wednesday, earning several Player of the Month awards.
Though he has returned to Manchester United, a transfer seems likely.
After the match with Millwall, Watford will face Portsmouth, Blackburn Rovers, and Swansea City, who are all in the bottom seven of the EFL Championship.
With only five points separating them from the automatic promotion spots, these upcoming matches provide Watford with an excellent chance to strengthen their bid for a return to the Premier League next season.
The match against Millwall will be crucial, as they currently sit just above Watford in the table. A win here, followed by three more victories, would position Watford as serious contenders this season.
