Manchester United is mobilizing following the dismissal of manager Ruben Amorim, who had been with the team for 14 months.

His refusal to adapt his strategies, conflicts with Jason Wilcox, and inconsistent performance led to his exit.

The club is set to name Michael Carrick as the interim manager, with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer also in consideration.

Former United player and current under-18s manager Darren Fletcher has stepped in temporarily until a new manager is confirmed.

Other ex-players have also expressed their willingness to assist, including Ruud van Nistelrooy and Wayne Rooney.

On The Wayne Rooney Show, Rooney, United’s all-time leading scorer, said it would be a “no-brainer” to work alongside Carrick.

He emphasized the need for individuals who understand the club: “Whether it’s Michael, Fletch, or myself, it’s crucial to have people who know and care for the club.”

Rooney added, “The club has lost its sense of identity and family feel. This is a chance to restore that spirit.”

When asked about joining Carrick’s coaching staff, Rooney stated, “Of course I would. I’m not asking for a job, but if asked, I would definitely consider it. Appointing the right manager is vital.”
