West Ham United is reportedly interested in signing N’Golo Kante, the former Chelsea and Leicester City midfielder, during the January transfer window.
The Hammers have already added two new players this month but continue to seek more signings before the transfer deadline.
Nuno Espirito Santo faces pressure at West Ham, but the management seems to support him in the transfer market, despite the team being seven points from safety.

According to Ben Jacobs from Give Me Sport, West Ham has inquired about Kante in the past two days.
However, they are not the only contenders for the 65-cap France international.
Turkish club Fenerbahce appears to be in the lead for Kante, who was part of the 2018 World Cup-winning team.
Fenerbahce is optimistic about securing an agreement with Kante, but they still need to negotiate a fee with Al-Ittihad.
Kante’s contract in Saudi Arabia ends at the season’s conclusion, making the upcoming negotiation crucial.
Jacobs noted: “Kante wants the move. Fenerbahce are the frontrunners, even though West Ham has also made inquiries in the last 48 hours, but Fenerbahce seems to have the upper hand. They’re confident they have his interest.”
Kante likely to prefer Fenerbahce over West Ham
At 34, Kante has accomplished a lot in his career, including winning the World Cup, Champions League, and Premier League.
Given this, it makes sense for him to consider a league that offers a less intense environment. With his best days behind him, keeping up with the pace of English football may be challenging.
Turkey appears to be a fitting option for him now; he could shine there and end his career on a high note.
Additionally, with Fenerbahce competing for trophies while West Ham battles relegation, Kante might see more appeal in moving abroad instead of returning to England.
