West Ham is looking to sign Jorgen Strand Larsen from Wolves in the January transfer window.

Nuno Espirito Santo has prioritized finding a centre-forward as the Hammers aim to move out of the Premier League relegation zone. Their recent loss to Manchester City has left them winless in six games.

Niclas Fullkrug is also likely to leave in January, seeking regular play to enhance his World Cup chances. AC Milan is reportedly in discussions for a loan deal with him.

The Athletic reports that West Ham has targeted Strand Larsen. The Norwegian scored 14 league goals for Wolves last season, but this year has found himself in a struggling team.

Wolves are currently without a win in the Premier League and are significantly behind safety, sitting 16 points adrift while having played one game less than Nottingham Forest, who are above the relegation zone.

While Wolves would prefer to keep their top scorer from last season, the looming threat of relegation might lead them to consider a substantial offer in January.

Newcastle United showed interest in Strand Larsen during the summer, making several bids, the highest being around £55 million, but all were rejected. Following this, they acquired Nick Woltemade from Stuttgart instead.

A potential sale in January could provide necessary funds for a rebuild at Molineux, especially since Strand Larsen’s value may decrease with relegation. Meanwhile, West Ham urgently needs to improve their situation, which could lead them to make a competitive offer.
