Barcelona and Valencia are scheduled to meet on Matchday 4 of the 2025-26 LaLiga season. Barcelona comes into this match without a loss, demonstrating strong performance, while Valencia has had some inconsistencies, managing only one win in their last three matches. However, Hansi Flick’s team will be without their young talent, Lamine Yamal.

Lamine Yamal is sidelined for the game against Valencia due to discomfort. This issue arose following his participation in the recent UEFA World Cup Qualifiers with Spain. Flick noted that Yamal played while in pain and mentioned his concerns about how Spain’s coach, Luis De La Fuente, handled Yamal’s playing time.

In Yamal’s absence, Flick will turn to Roony Bardhgji for the right wing, with new signing Marcus Rashford taking the left wing position. This put more pressure on Barcelona, who aims to keep up with Real Madrid’s impressive form.

Valencia has faced challenges in recent seasons, even flirting with relegation. Nevertheless, the arrival of head coach Carlos Corberan has brought renewed hope. The team, led by scorers Arnaut Danjuma and Hugo Duro, is looking for its second straight win to build momentum. Central defender Mouctar Diakhaby’s strong form will be crucial for success.

Barcelona lineup vs Valencia

While Yamal’s absence is notable, Barcelona will also be missing four other key players: Frenkie De Jong, Gavi, Marc-Andre Ter Stegen, and Alejandro Balde. This means head coach Hansi Flick will make adjustments, bringing in Marcus Rashford and Marc Casado. Still, the team will stick to a similar approach as in previous matches.

Barcelona’s lineup will be: Joan Garcia; Jules Kounde, Eric Garcia, Pau Cubarsi, Gerard Martin; Marc Casado, Pedri, Fermin; Roony Bardhgji, Ferran Torres, Marcus Rashford.

Valencia lineup vs Barcelona

Unlike Barcelona, Valencia will field a full squad, with captain Jose Gaya returning. Coach Carlos Corberan is set to switch back to their successful 3-4-3 formation, which worked well last season with Danjuma and Hugo Duro at the forefront.

Valencia’s lineup will be: Julen Agirrezabala; Cesar Tarrega, Mouctar Diakhaby, Copete; Dimitri Foulquier, Javi Guerra, Baptiste Santamaria, Jose Gaya; Diego Lopez, Hugo Duro, Arnaut Danjuma.
