Thomas Frank should consider dropping Mohammed Kudus against Sunderland after his lackluster performance in the 0-0 draw with Brentford.
Tottenham Hotspur began the 2025/26 season with high hopes, believing they had improved the squad for new coach Thomas Frank. Despite a decent start, the team has struggled to achieve consistent results.
Frank’s tactics and style of play have frustrated many. The pressure is building on him as the team has shown dull performances in recent months. Spurs kicked off 2026 with a lackluster 0-0 draw against London rivals Brentford at the Gtech Community Stadium. As a result, they have dropped to 12th in the table, winning only two of their last ten Premier League matches.
There has been significant discussion about Tottenham’s attacking issues. In the goalless draw with Brentford, Spurs struggled to create opportunities. One player who notably did not contribute was Mohammed Kudus.
Mohammed Kudus has been one of Spurs’ key attacking players in the first half of the season. With two main playmakers, James Maddison and Dejan Kulusevski, out, and summer addition Xavi Simons adjusting to life in England, Kudus stepped up well after moving from West Ham United.
