Boca Juniors and Auckland City were tied 1-1 early in the second half of their FIFA Club World Cup 2025 match when play was forced to stop.

On Tuesday afternoon, the Matchday 3 fixtures in Group C of the FIFA Club World Cup 2025 are underway. Two matches are being played simultaneously: Bayern Munich vs Benfica, and Boca Juniors vs Auckland City. The latter was tied 1-1 early in the second half when it was abruptly halted.

In the 53rd minute, referee Glenn Nyberg instructed players from both teams, along with substitutes and members of the coaching staffs, to leave the field and return to the locker rooms due to weather conditions: a lightning storm in Nashville, Tennessee that posed a potential safety risk to the players.
