Nottingham Forest captain Morgan Gibbs-White stated that teammate Neco Williams has apologized after receiving a red card that impacted the match against Crystal Palace.

Forest took the lead early when Gibbs-White scored within five minutes, but the game shifted just before half-time.

Williams received a red card for handling a goal-bound header from Jefferson Lerman, leading to a penalty that Ismaila Sarr converted to level the score for Palace.

Despite being down to ten men for the whole second half, Forest managed to secure a draw, keeping them six points above the relegation zone.

Gibbs-White expressed disappointment at not securing all three points, especially as the team fights to maintain their Premier League status. He commented to Sky Sports, “It felt like we could have won. We dominated the first half, but losing a player changed everything. It was a natural instinct for Neco, and he has apologized to us. It’s not his fault.”

He added, “The coach emphasized the importance of sticking together and working as a team, both defensively and offensively. We did that well. We must remain focused on our goals.”
