Châteauroux has acquired a new attacking midfielder. The club, which was recently eliminated from the Coupe de France by Fontenay Vendée (N3), has opted for youthful talent by signing Willsem Boussaid. The 19-year-old winger developed at Strasbourg but has yet to make his debut in Ligue 1. This summer, he underwent a three-month trial at Lens, but due to administrative issues, the RCSA couldn’t reach an agreement with the club.
Ultimately, Willsem Boussaid had to find his footing at an amateur club in Châteauroux. The left-footed midfielder, who can play on both the left and right flanks and is known for his technical skills, will strengthen La Berrichonne, currently in 13th place in National 1. This signing is a notable move for the Indre club, as they add this U17 international talent targeted by the elite.
