Liverpool dominated in their 4-0 victory over Galatasaray on Wednesday night, advancing to the Champions League quarter-finals.

After trailing from the first leg, Liverpool overpowered the Turkish champions at Anfield, securing their spot in the last eight.

The scoreline could have been even wider if not for Galatasaray goalkeeper Uğurcan Çakır, who made 11 saves, including a crucial stop against a penalty from Mohamed Salah.

Liverpool achieved an impressive expected goals (xG) of 5.60, while Galatasaray only managed 0.21 in a lackluster performance.

A key player for Liverpool was Florian Wirtz. Despite earlier criticism this season, he showed his worth in this match.

Wirtz created eight chances, the highest for a Liverpool player in a Champions League match since 2003-04. He also provided the assist for Salah’s goal with a skillful back-heel.

In that same period, only former Manchester City midfielder Kevin De Bruyne has created more chances in a single Champions League game for an English club.
