Wolves head coach Rob Edwards did not rule out a possible exit for Jorgen Strand Larsen in the upcoming January transfer window when discussing the player’s future.
The Norwegian striker netted a hat-trick and provided an assist as Wanderers defeated Shrewsbury Town 6-1 in the FA Cup at Molineux on Saturday.
Jhon Arias, Rodrigo Gomes, and Tolu Arokodare also scored, propelling the Midlands club into the fourth round draw on Monday.
Wolves boss Rob Edwards hints at Jorgen Strand Larsen transfer potential
After starting Strand Larsen on the bench for the last four matches, Edwards acknowledged his strong performance while keeping a potential transfer open. The 25-year-old has attracted interest from West Ham United, Spurs, Newcastle United, and Nottingham Forest.
“He’s really pleased,” Edwards mentioned after the match. “He’s working hard, and his attitude has been great. He understood why he hasn’t started recently.
“His commitment has never wavered. He was excellent in everything he did today.
“He keeps expressing his commitment and desire to help us improve. While the transfer window is open, there will always be speculation about our good players.
“I haven’t confirmed that Strand Larsen will not leave in January. I simply stated that any talented player on our roster will draw interest.
“If it works for the club, we will consider it, but right now, there’s nothing to discuss. He is demonstrating his commitment to the club.”
