Xavi Simons Shares Why He Chose Tottenham Over Bayern for His Football Journey

Details: In a recent interview, attacking midfielder Xavi Simons discussed Bayern Munich‘s interest in him and explained why he chose to join Tottenham instead.

He also talked about Bayern’s sporting director Max Eberl, with whom he worked at RB Leipzig.

“Negotiations happen regularly in football, but I prefer not to name anyone specifically. Max was instrumental in bringing me to RB Leipzig, and I’m grateful for that. However, it was crucial for me to find a place where I could further develop and play my game. Tottenham provided that opportunity,” Simons explained.

Reminder: Simons transferred to the Premier League club for €65 million, signing a contract until 2030 with an option to extend for two more years.

Last season, he appeared in 33 matches across all competitions, scoring 11 goals and providing 8 assists.
