Barcelona player Lamine Yamal finished school just a year ago and has become a global star. Despite his success, he has openly shared that he was never fond of studying during an appearance on Jose Ramon de la Morena’s podcast.
Yamal mentioned that his mother was not happy about his choice to concentrate on football and downplay his schoolwork.
“She yelled at me every day, but she finally understood. I don’t recommend this to anyone, but it was my dream, and I achieved it,” Yamal said.

Lamine also thought about juggling football with studies and even pursuing higher education, but he quickly realized that academics were not for him; he was meant to play football.
At just 18, Yamal is already earning millions from football, enough to purchase a large house for his mother.
He is also a strong contender for this year’s Ballon d’Or, although PSG’s Ousmane Dembele is seen as the frontrunner.
