Yanis Begraoui is Dominating the Scene in Portugal!

Yanis Begraoui, recognized from a young age, is making his mark in the adult football world. A graduate of the youth teams in France, with 20 appearances from U17 to U20, the Étampes native currently plays for Estoril, positioned 12th in Liga Nos. After a successful stint at Pau in the 2022/2023 season, where he scored 9 goals in Ligue 2, the 24-year-old forward is continuing his impressive form. He has netted 11 goals in 34 league matches and has started the current season strongly, scoring 5 goals in 10 matches, surpassing his previous seasons’ statistics.

Recently, the Franco-Moroccan stunned Rio Ave with a hat-trick, marking his second since May. Despite a slow start for the team, he has been standout performer, catching the attention of several Spanish clubs. This summer, he attracted interest from Mallorca and Espanyol but opted not to push for a transfer, focusing instead on proving himself. With 16 league goals in 2025, he is establishing himself as one of the top scorers in Portugal, alongside notable players like Pavlidis and Samu. His performances could open doors for an international future with Morocco, and with his current form, he has every reason to believe in that possibility.
